The Opportunity
Due to an internal promotion, Ramsay is now seeking a Director of Finance to lead the financial strategy and operations across one of our key sites in Sydney’s southern suburbs. Reporting directly to the CEO, this pivotal role will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of reporting, and leading high-performing teams across this facility. Key Accountabilities
- Evaluate financial performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Lead the development and management of annual budgets and business plans.
- Oversee non-clinical departments, including Business Office/Patient Administration, Consulting Suites, Finance, Purchasing, Health Information Services, Catering, and Environmental Services.
- Manage financial oversight and strategic planning for Capital Expenditure.
- Ensure compliance and accurate reporting in collaboration with corporate finance services.
- Partner with clinical departments to educate and support managers in understanding, tracking, and achieving KPIs.
About You
To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate substantial commercial acumen, advanced financial management expertise, and highly effective leadership skills. Additionally, you should have a proven ability to build strong, positive, and professional relationships with both remote and on-site teams.
Your Skills and Experience
- Professional qualifications in accountancy/finance management, with a preference for CPA or CA.
- Proven ability to analyse financial and operational data to generate value-creating insights.
- Experience in working collaboratively with the business to enhance performance.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, strong decision-making capabilities, and clear, concise communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Extensive experience with large accounting software packages and financial reporting models, including advanced budget preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and support key non-financial stakeholders.
Desirable but not essential
- Experience in financial management within the healthcare sector.
- Skilled in financial legislation, compliance, and risk management frameworks pertinent to healthcare environments.
