About the Role
Our Rehabilitation Ward at Cairns Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our vibrant and supportive team. You will play a key role in helping patients regain health, confidence, and functional independence through high-quality, person-centred rehabilitation care.

About the Unit
Our Rehabilitation Unit delivers a comprehensive range of inpatient programs, including:

• Neurological rehabilitation
• Falls prevention
• Orthopaedic rehabilitation
• Reconditioning programs
• Amputee rehabilitation

About You
You are a positive, motivated, and adaptable clinician who thrives in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment. With sound critical-thinking abilities, excellent communication skills, and strong time-management capabilities, you deliver care with compassion and clinical excellence.

You will also demonstrate:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a Rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work a rotating 7-day roster.
• A strong commitment to teamwork, quality improvement, and patient-centred outcomes.

Remuneration:  On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $41.89 - $54.01+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD RN/Midwife Level 1 gr2-gr8).

Cairns Private Hospital, located in tropical far north Queensland, is a modern, well-equipped facility offering a comprehensive range of medical and allied health services. Situated just 150 metres from the Cairns Esplanade, the hospital is within easy walking distance of the heart of Cairns’ vibrant tourist precinct. 

Requirements

• Must provide or complete a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
