About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to the Environmental Services department towards ensuring adequate staffing levels are present for each shift, including staff roster generation are correct and timely managed and all other departmental administration duties!

Reporting to the Manager - Environmental Service, you will provide effective support contributing to the operational support to the department. You will be expected to deliver excellent customer service and be required to assist in stock maintenance and control. you’ll be working within a fast-paced team-focused environment within our Greenslopes Private Hospital. Your duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • You are a positive and energetic team player. You enjoy working as part of a supportive, collaborative team and independently when required.
  • Demonstrated maintaining the staff records in accordance with Infection Control and Occupational Safety and Health regulations.
  • Under direction and supervision, you will provide effective support contributing to the operational management of the hospital.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • You will demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others, and a commitment to professional practice.

Additionally, you will:

  • Recognise and tolerate individual differences in others including gender, sexual preferences, age, disability and culture in line with Ramsay Health Care Workplace Diversity Guidelines
  • Maintain positive relationships and strong communication networks with all stakeholders and other departments so that quality outcomes are achieved.
  • Attend departmental meetings and read relevant communications while contributing to improving standards of services in line with the needs of the Hospital and its customers.
  • Support and assist Ramsay Managers in their objective to make Ramsay a leader in corporate responsibility by reducing its impact on society and the environment and fostering an understanding of the principles of corporate responsibility.
  • Be involved and support continuous improvement projects and audits being undertaken in the department and the organisation, actively support continuous improvement programs
  • Identifies risks and hazards and reports promptly to ensure that safety measures are maintained.
  • Perform other adhoc duties as required and requested by management.

 

 Your Skills and Experience  

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads, Completion of all the required training, or willingness to undertake.
  • Qualification: Advanced Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel) [Desirable]
  • Experience in Hospitality Management or Healthcare setting [Desirable].
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills including negotiation and problem solving
  • Flexible to work a rotating roster with a variety of shifts available [Desirable]

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
