About the opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Billing Officer to join our team at Ramsay Clinic Adelaide.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience working in a dynamic healthcare environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service as part of a supportive team.

This will include following up with Health Fund queries, communicating with Doctors and patients regarding billing.

The role

The Billing Officer role centralizes and streamlines billing operations, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments across multiple departments.

This role will also involve, but is not limited to:

• Billing and receipting of hospital accounts.
• Communicating with health funds and insurers
• Managing customer account queries
• Communicating with doctors and patients regarding billing
• Managing refunds and debt collection for allocated accounts.

About You

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Prior experience in hospital administration or medical billing environments
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Clear communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to accept and promote Ramsay’s core values.

Desirable criteria:

• Experience in medical practice or hospital billing, health fund or Medicare claims
• Confidence and experience with billing systems or hospital finance software such as Meditech, SAP etc.

 Requirements

• Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
