The Role

John Flynn Private Hospital has a new and exciting opportunity for a Loans Coordinator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. This position will see you part of a busy CSSD department, catering for 12 Operating Theatres, 2 Cath Labs and 3 Day Surgery Theatres. The role reports to the CSSD Manager.

Candidates with previous prosthesis / stores experienced are encouraged to apply!

Key Role Accountabilities

• Checking and coordinating instruments loan sets across all surgical specialties
• Liaising with medical companies and nurse managers
• Ensuring completeness of all sets on receiving and dispatch on a strict deadline
• Processing instruments efficiently and timely and manage documentation effectively
• Manage implantable items required for the day in conjunction with the theatre floor coordinator or Theatre NUM
• Liaise with VMO rooms to ensure accurate procedural details, complete documentation, booking times and appropriate instrumentation has been provided
• Accurately record and track loan set movement in and out of CSSD department

Your Key Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you are a process driven individual with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in your tasks. In addition, you will demonstrate:

• Previous prosthesis/stores experience highly regarded
• Certificate III in Sterilisation and/or working towards
• Experience as a CSSD Instrument Technician and/or Loan Set Coordinator highly regarded
• Demonstrated ability to work in all areas of CSSD with a high degree of autonomy and accountability

Remuneration

A base hourly, award rate ranging from $28.84 - $32.81 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
