A new exciting and challenging opportunity has become available for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to advance their career and provide the best quality care for our patients. You will be providing clinical support as part of the Psychology team at the Joondalup Health Campus Mental Health Unit.

The MHU has undergone major redevelopment and has opened its doors to a new facility with a total capacity of 102 beds, including specialised services for adult, older adult, Psychiatric intensive care, young adult and youth service. 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to address the following selection criteria.

Essential

• Possess a relevant degree in Clinical Psychology
• Current general registration with AHPRA
• Possess a relevant degree in Psychology, Neuropsychology and/or Clinical Psychology
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in an acute Mental Health setting
• Evidence of ability to identify clinically appropriate assessment and interventions and implement evidence-based practice into service development  
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining and upgrading professional skills through further education
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, service providers, external agencies, patients, families and caregivers.
• Demonstrated ability to apply clinical reasoning, sound judgement and complex decision making at an advanced level of practice
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills
• Practices in accordance to the Psychology Board of Australia Registration Standards, the Australian Psychological Society Code of Ethics and Ramsay Health policies and guidelines

 Desirable

• Experience with facilitating group therapy
