Position Profile

As the hospital continues its expansion, including a new 112-bed public ward block currently in development, we are looking to employ Aged Care and Rehabilitation Registrars to join the team on a full-time/ part-time fixed-term basis to serve the Department of Rehabilitation and Aged Care (DRAC) department in teams and hospital admissions.

DRAC is a multidisciplinary unit that manages older adults with subacute or chronic conditions. The unit admits patients from the emergency department, Rapid Access Clinic for the Elderly or direct admissions under the Consultants. Three public teams admit and manage patients every day. Successful registrars will be a part of these teams, admitting and managing patients throughout their stay.

JHC is looking to employ Registrars with a salary range of $139,305 – $213,086 p.a pro rata (including base salary, 11% superannuation and professional development allowance). High overnight penalties are paid, and casual contracts are available to suitable candidates.

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrated commitment to uphold and promote the Ramsay Way core values.
• Registered as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Authority (Medical Board of Australia).
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience.
• A willingness to supervise junior doctors.

Desirable Criteria

A keen interest in Geriatric medicine

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
