Biomedical Engineering Manager opportunity at Greenslopes Private Hospital | Permanent full-time position
About The Role
As the Biomedical Engineering Manager, you will supervise staff in the Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department, ensuring that work targets are met and high levels of performance achieved, whilst ensuring BME equipment is maintained to a high level of serviceability and safety and to advise on purchasing, maintenance, and operational issues.
The Biomedical Engineer will work with the Facility Manager to provide advice, project coordination and management of the areas of responsibility of the BME Department.
This role will be best suited to someone with previous experience in a management position.
Your Skills and Experience
- Qualification: Degree in Engineering, or qualifications and experience deemed equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams and performance
- Demonstrated success and experience supervising and driving a BME function within a large organisation, preferably a hospital setting
- Ability to plan and coordinate workload
- Excellent time management skills
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently as required
