The Opportunity

Ramsay Health Care is seeking a WHS Coordinator to effectively support the National Safety Team and National Safety Manager in the management of the companies safety management system (RamAusSMS) and the promotion of work health and safety at Mitcham Private Hospital in VIC.

As a WHS Coordinator, you will facilitate and coordinate the hospitals safety and risk management portfolio in line with corporate and business unit mission and objectives. You will support the hospital to meet their WHS legislative obligations through implementation of the RamAusSMS.

This position will be permanent part-time – 45.6 hours a fortnight, reporting directly to the Victorian Safety Manager.

  • Strong technical skillset, with a keen focus on process improvement
  • Proven ability to work across a multi-layered organisation, providing advice and education
  • Able to efficiently influence stakeholders and drive quality improvement initiatives 

Central to this role is the ability for our candidate to understand, embrace and embed the ‘Ramsay Way’ culture into their practice and ensure alignment to projects and deliverables.

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety
  • Demonstrated knowledge in relevant OHS legislation and ability to meet OHS targets
  • Understanding of and experience in applying customer focused safety, controls assurance, quality management principles and continuous improvement methodology
  • Commitment to the achievement of excellent outcomes, with a strong sense of accountability and customer service 

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment
  • Experience within the health industry or a large organisation
  • Fit testing experience

 

Remuneration

A pro rata rate from a base annual salary of $100k - $110k + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

  • A National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months may be asked of you
