About the Role

The Northern Private hospital is a new facility with 2 inpatient wards. Both inpatient spaces have critical care areas which we are looking to recruit appropriately trained nurses with post graduate certificates on a casual basis.

Our Medical Ward has a 6 bedded coronary care unit where we care for elective and emergency cases. There will also be medical HDU patients in this space with a plan to introduce non-invasive ventilation to our service very soon. This will include the care and management of invasive lines, administration of inotropic agents, vasodilators and intravenous anticoagulants.

Our Surgical Ward has a High Dependency unit where post operative patients requiring high dependency care will be located. This will include the care and management of invasive lines and administration of inotropic agents.

Your Skills and Experience

• Current registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse
• Minimum of two (2) years’ post-graduate experience in an acute hospital environment
• Recent critical care experience, post-graduate certificates desirable
• Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster is essential
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Remuneration

On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $34.39 - $ 47.55 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (VIC RN/Midwife gr1-gr8) [FTE $67,957.76 - $93,965.04]

About Our Hospital

Ramsay Health Care has built a brand-new private hospital, the Northern Private Hospital. This is located within the Riverlee New Epping estate, 22km from Melbourne’s CBD. The private hospital is located at 12 Osburn Place and it opened its doors to the public on 5 February 2024.

Northern Private Hospital features 70 patient beds, four operating theatres, a cardiac catheterisation lab, a sleep study unit, a day chemotherapy unit, on-site pharmacy, pathology and medical imaging.

The wide range of specialties available include general medicine, cancer care, cardiac care, ENT, orthopaedics, IVF and fertility, vascular care, urology, nephrology, gastroenterology, general surgery, thoracic surgery, respiratory and sleep services and plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
