Human Resources Officer

Hybrid | National People Operations

About the role

We are seeking a responsive and people-focused HR Officer to join our team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for employees, taking phone calls and responding to HR-related queries. You'll be responsible for triaging issues, providing clear information, and escalating more complex matters to the appropriate HR teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take phone calls and respond to manager and employee queries via email and internal systems.
  • Triage incoming requests and determine the appropriate response or escalation.
  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding HR policies, leave, benefits and procedures.
  • Record and track enquiries using Workday.
  • Work closely with HR Services, Workday Support, HR Business Partners and other teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies and employment legislation.
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to HR processes.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in an HR support role.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional phone manner.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using Workday.
  • Understanding of HR policies or employment legislation is an advantage.
