Emergency Physician/Senior Medical Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a professional and experienced emergency medicine specialist for clinical duties in the emergency department at Noosa Private Hospital.
Participation in a shift working roster, including weekends and nights (pro rata). May also include some on-call requirements.
The department:
- We see over 24,000 presentations per year
- Combination of adults and paediatrics, with on-site ICU
- Interesting case mix: Resus, retrieval, procedures
- Manoeuvrable and creative approaches and policies driven by evidence-based medicine
- Accredited for ACEM training linked Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
About You
- Registration or eligible for General registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) with Specialist registration in the field of Emergency Medicine.
- FACEM qualification (Fellow of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine)
- Or be FACRRM/FRACGP qualified practitioner, with appropriate experience/training in emergency medicine as deemed so by the Director or Emergency, Noosa Hospital.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion to work in a clinical capacity involved in direct patient care and guiding the patient’s journey through the ED.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
