The Opportunity
The Data Analyst, Revenue Cycle plays a vital role in delivering insights and enabling data-driven decision-making across Ramsay’s Revenue Cycle. Reporting to the RCM stream, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining visibility over the performance of the entire Revenue Management lifecycle. By leveraging dashboards, custom queries, and ad hoc analysis, the analyst will support the optimisation of revenue processes - providing timely, actionable insights across the full cycle, from pre-admission through to collections.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to:
- Analyse revenue cycle performance to identify improvement opportunities and deliver actionable insights using a variety of data sources.
- Process, manipulate, and interpret large, complex datasets, becoming a subject matter expert on systems and data supporting revenue cycle initiatives.
- Develop data models and visualisations that clearly communicate insights through operational Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines within the BI environment.
- Partner with stakeholders to design, build, and ensure the quality of data products that drive better outcomes.
- Act as a key contact for Revenue Cycle data products, working with hospital leaders and central teams to implement and embed them into daily operations.
- Develop strong cross-functional relationships, encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration across the business.
- Support a positive, team-oriented culture by contributing to ad hoc projects and helping colleagues thrive.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in business, statistics, computer science, actuarial studies, data science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in data analytics and business intelligence (BI) development.
- Strong capability in data investigation, including data collection, cleansing, and merging.
- Skilled in designing and producing dashboards and data visualisations.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL.
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end Power BI development, including data modelling using DAX, Power Query, and/or Fabric.
- Proven ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, test prototypes, and present findings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility, foster trust, and challenge constructively across all levels
- Experience working across diverse functions or domains, with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and acquire technical skills as required
Desirable
- Experience working with healthcare data and/or within a healthcare organisation.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and/or Databricks.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as GIT or similar version control systems.
- Experience working within Agile environments and using project management methodologies.
- Understanding of UX principles and their application in data solutions.
- Postgraduate qualifications in computer science, data science, statistics, business, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of the data lifecycle, including data ingestion, ETL processes, data storage and integration, project management, and data quality assurance.
- Foundational knowledge of predictive and prescriptive analytics, data science techniques, and AI/ML models.
