Join our dynamic Clinical Nurse Leadership Team in one of WA’s busiest Emergency Departments as a Paediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. Working with a passionate, multidisciplinary team you will support our 11-bed paediatric treatment and observation area, which forms part of our 77 patient bay Emergency Department.

Key Role Accountabilities

  • Work with the Clinical Nurse Manager in the efficient management of staff and resources within the department
  • Collaborate with fellow Clinical Nurse Specialists and Educators to identify, promote and support education and training needs.
  • Act as a positive and supportive role model, leading by example in all aspects of nursing care
  • Ensure staff adhere to hospital and nursing policies and procedures
  • Maintain safe staffing levels daily, aligning with FTE requirements to ensure high-quality patient care

Your Skills and Experience

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 5 years recent Emergency / Critical Care nursing experience, specifically within the Paediatric specialty
  • Post graduate certificate in Emergency/Critical Care
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care
  • Exceptional leadership skills, demonstrated ability to motivate your team and grow a positive culture
  • Demonstrated experience in managing human, material and financial resources
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical change management initiatives in Emergency
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality improvement, its relevance to practice and its relationship to strategic development and accreditation process

 

Remuneration

A base hourly rate of $64.28 - $67.22 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances (WA Registered Nurses/Midwives SRN1-SNR3)

The Hospital

Joondalup Health Campus Emergency Department is one of the busiest in Western Australia, providing 24-hour acute care from an integrated public and private hospital campus. Our department treats a truly interesting and diverse case mix and has 66 patient bays, which is made up of 30 adult treatment bays, a 12-bed emergency admission area, a 10 bed Mental Health Observation Area, an 11-bed paediatric treatment and observation area and three resuscitation bays.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
