The National Early Career Manager is responsible to lead the Early Career strategy for Ramsay to ensure student-related programs and initiatives such as National Student Placement, Cadetship Program and any apprenticeship or internship programs, create a powerful pipeline of future talent for Ramsay and continue to be a reliable source of revenue for the sites.
As part of the National Learning & Organisational Development Team, the Early Career team is a centre of excellence for the wider Ramsay and oversees and supports all coordination of programs within the function.
This role has a strong focus on designing and delivering a compelling Early Career strategy which connects with Strategic Workforce Planning and National Clinical Governance (particularly around skill-mix and skill shortages) and Graduate Recruitment (to optimise conversion student to graduate) and goes beyond clinical workforce to also build relationships with non-clinical expertise in various fields to enable improved career pathways.
The National Early Career Manager will also be required to work closely with the Head of Learning, OD & Leadership Manager, the whole L&OD and People team, Nursing & Midwifery Academy, site educators, and senior Leaders within Ramsay, as well as will be a strategic point of contact for Education Providers.
Essential
• Extensive Experience driving student-related programs and initiatives in a complex facility environment or at a national level
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder management – able to hold complex conversations, including negotiations, with external vendors and Education Providers, site executives and senior leaders in Ramsay.
• ·Well-developed insight into Ramsay’s organisational structure and the ability to engage appropriate level of management for different projects and communications.
• Strong analytical thinking to leverage data and oversee reporting, including financial reports.
• Ability to understand the financial impact of programs, considering the balance between revenue and costing to sites (including supernumerary considerations)
• Strong understanding of the scope of diplomas and degrees, and how they align with clinical and non-clinical career pathways. This includes, understanding of AHPRA, NMBA standards of practice to ensure maximisation of scope and the impact of these pathways on workflows and workforce recruitment
• Well-developed facilitation, influence and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solution orientated, and outcome focused, with a demonstrated ability to resolve issues as identified a growth mindset, with a demonstrated experience in reviewing and implementing more efficient work processes
• Effective time management skills, including the ability to prioritise workload and competing priorities, and deliver projects within agreed timeframes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise guidance/information to Ramsay sites, education providers and students.
• Highly collaborative, with a natural desire to partner with colleagues and team members on projects to achieve effective outcomes.
• Technologically savvy, with experience using SharePoint and workflow tasks and proficient across the Microsoft Office 365 suite including, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
