About the Role

St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Dietitian to join our team on a part-time basis for a 12-month fixed term contract, with potential to extend or transition to casual or full-time employment.

In this varied role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based dietetic services across a diverse range of clinical areas, including:

  • Acute inpatient (medical, surgical, critical care/ICU).
  • Inpatient rehabilitation.
  • Renal dialysis.
  • Oncology.
  • Day rehabilitation.
  • Private outpatient services.

 

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives, collaborating closely with our Food Services/Catering Department to enhance patient nutrition and satisfaction.

Working as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, you will enjoy a friendly and flexible environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

 

About You

You are a motivated and client-focused professional who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment. You bring strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to improving patient outcomes.

As part of a small dietetic team, you will work both independently and collaboratively, providing support and supervision to less experienced staff, including Allied Health Assistants.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning.
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation, and communication skills.
  • Initiative and enthusiasm for quality improvement and service innovation.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in Dietetics from a recognised institution.
  • Current full membership with Dietitians Australia as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD).
  • Demonstrated experience in a hospital setting.
  • Proven ability to apply evidence-based dietetic practice in patient management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development (meeting Dietitians Australia CPD requirements).
  • Ability to work autonomously as a solo clinician when required.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • This role requires a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
