The Role

This opportunity will see you joining our Catering Team at Baringa Private Hospital, supporting the food preparation for patients, staff and functions. You will ensure a high standard of quality hospital food production and cleanliness is maintained to be in line with the Food Safety Plan, relevant HACCP standards and Hospital policy.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for stock ordering and receiving deliveries. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong time management to effectively meet the needs of the hospital’s food services. This role reports to the Executive Chef and works with a large, varied team.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced qualified chef with a passion for culinary preparation and service. Strong organisational skills and the capacity to handle high volume catering workflows will also be key to this role.

You will also bring:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a hospital or Hotel central kitchen
• Capability to cater to a wide variety of sensitive dietary requirements.
• Must have a thorough understanding of Allergen management practices
• Flexibility to handle shifts across a rotating roster including evenings and weekends

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
