Occupational Therapist

Glengarry Private Hospital is seeking a motivated and positive team player to join our Allied Health team as an Occupational Therapist. This is a Permanent opportunity working approximately 65-70 hours per fortnight Monday to Friday.

 

 

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join our team. This opportunity will see you working with our inpatients alongside a dedicated allied health and clinical team that provides a variety of rehabilitation programs including orthopaedic, Parkinson’s disease and reconditioning as well as palliative care.

In this role you will be responsible for conducting functional assessments, providing therapy in both individual and group settings whilst developing appropriate discharge plans within a multidisciplinary team.

 

 

About You

You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist ideally with a minimum of 1 years post graduate experience. Experience within an acute hospital or rehabilitation setting will be highly regarded. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build rapport and deliver a high standard of customer-focused service in line with our Ramsay's core values.  You will also demonstrate the ability to manage conflicting priorities and workloads both independently and work effectively and collaboratively as part of our multidisciplinary team.

 

 

You will also bring the following criteria;

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent with AHPRA registration,
  • Prior experience working in an acute / rehabilitation hospital or rehabilitation setting preferable
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills,
  • Be willing to contribute to the development and promotion of a cohesive and interactive team,
  • Flexible and positive approach to work.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
