Noosa Hospital has an exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse who is looking to progress into a leadership position!
About the Role
Joining the team as a Nurse Unit Manager managing the 5 chair renal dialysis unit servicing both private and public dialysis patients. You will work in collaboration with the NUM of Nambour Selangor Renal Dialysis unit as part of the RHC Sunshine Coast Northern Network.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will work with and support nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
The successful candidate will supervise, lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve outcomes with the ability to manage financial and human resources.
Permanent part time opportunity with a full time position considered for the right person.
This key leadership role will see you:
- Apply advanced nursing practices in planning, implementing and evaluating care in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
- Be a positive mentor and provide clinical leadership and support to your team
- Effectively manage roster processes and allocate duties to clinical staff
- Working with and supporting other managers within the wider hospital community in achieving excellence in patient outcomes
- Assist in shaping organisational strategy, improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital strategic objectives.
About You
You will possess outstanding communication skills and the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor your team. As a leader, you will be deeply committed to helping your team members succeed and grow, while fostering a strong dedication to delivering exceptional clinical care and service.
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience in acute care environment
- Experience within ICU essential
- Experience in managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management
- Previous experience as a senior nurse or manager will be highly regarded
- Strong leadership skills and confident with delegating duties
- Post-graduate studies in the area of specialty or management qualifications will be highly regarded
