GP Liaison Officer – Part-Time Opportunity

Westmead Private Hospital, a well-established healthcare provider in Western Sydney, is seeking a dedicated GP Liaison Officer to join our team. The hospital offers medical, surgical, and maternity care across a range of specialties, serving communities in Western and Inner West Sydney.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the hospital CEO, in collaboration with the Doctor Engagement Manager, this key position will be responsible for fostering doctor engagement, marketing hospital services, and driving referral growth.
This is a permanent part-time role offering flexible hours, including the ability to work school hours, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking work-life balance.
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, applicants must have prior experience in medical or GP liaison, as well as a strong background in marketing and business development. The ideal candidate will possess proven skills in building professional networks, achieving growth targets, and promoting healthcare services effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and strengthen relationships with GPs and specialists.
- Promote hospital specialists and services through GP visits, CPD activities, and other initiatives.
- Develop strategies to grow key specialties and drive referrals.
- Provide monthly reports to evaluate the effectiveness of activities and demonstrate ROI through increased referrals.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Experience in business development or a similar role in healthcare.
- Strong understanding of the relationships between medical specialists and referring professionals (GPs, other specialists, and healthcare providers).
- Confidence in engaging with stakeholders and identifying opportunities to promote services.
- Experience in using a CRM and data to monitor market trends, identify opportunities, and develop growth strategies.
- A proactive approach to building professional relationships and influencing referral groups.
Desirable:
- Experience in the private healthcare sector.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or Health.
- Event management experience.
