The Opportunity
An exciting and diverse opportunity has arisen within the Ramsay Finance Team! As the Corporate Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing Ramsay Australia's balance sheet and financial reporting obligations. Leading a dynamic team, you will drive the review and development of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring seamless communication of reporting requirements across all sites. You'll provide expert technical accounting advice and support for various ad-hoc projects. Additionally, you'll be accountable for overseeing the corporate accounting, general ledger maintenance at Ramsay Australia Head Office, and leading a team of qualified accountants to success. Key Accountabilities
- Develop and review accounting policies for Australian operations.
- Lead the creation of accounting procedures and preparation of position papers.
- Coordinate and review all accounting deliverables for the Ramsay Global Office
- Prepare and submit monthly Board Reports for Australian operations.
- Manage the preparation of annual statutory reports for Australian operations.
- Oversee and coordinate lease accounting processes.
- Provide technical financial advice for ad-hoc projects such as joint ventures, acquisitions, and disposals.
- Prepare and distribute half-yearly reporting instructions to hospital sites, pharmacy, and linear medical teams.
- Coordinate half-year and year-end external audits.
- Oversee the Internal Controls Questionnaire process.
- Review and approve statutory reporting packs from hospitals and corporate operations.
- Prepare impairment calculations for Australian operations and pharmacy.
About You
To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate substantial commercial acumen, expertise in financial assessment of transformation initiatives, strong technical finance skills, effective leadership abilities, and the capacity to cultivate robust, positive, and professional relationships with both remote and on-site teams.
Your Skills and Experience
- Qualifications in Financial or Management Accounting, with CA/CPA certification
- 3+ years of experience in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in a similar position within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong technical accounting expertise.
- In-depth understanding of internal controls frameworks.
- Experience in preparing statutory accounts.
- Ability to assess key business processes, identifying risks and control weaknesses.
- Skilled in critically analysing financial information.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced analytical and logical problem-solving abilities.
