About The Role

We are seeking a Biomed Engineer or Technician who will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and breakdown services to biomedical and other hospital equipment within the guidelines set out it in relevant Standards, technical manuals, and hospital policies. You will provide front-line support and documentation to clinical staff in a manner which is consistent with our Ramsay values.

This position is part-time, working between 60-70 hrs/fortnight, which provides a great work life balance. The successful candidate will participate in a Monday – Friday roster, including on-call components.

You will use your previous experience to deliver a high standard of biomedical service and thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes sensitive, and pressured work environment. You will be a key member of a small, dynamic team and work harmoniously with your co-workers and customers showing respect and compassion. You will have sound time management and planning skills and the ability to work independently. You will have a strong attention to detail and technical aptitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing situations.


What we are looking for:

  • Qualification: Degree or Associate Diploma in a relevant discipline (or willingness to complete).
  • License: restricted electrical work license or progressing towards one.
  • Experience in a technical customer support or field service role.
  • Knowledge of relevant industrial standards, fault finding technique, use and function of biomedical equipment.
  • Accurate record keeping skills with previous experience using an asset management system.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
