The Opportunity
Deliver high quality services across the John Flynn Private Hospital acute and rehabilitation wards, and Ramsay Health Plus Service.
The role will include assessment, diagnosis, and management of adult patients with a range of communication and swallowing disorders, as well as contribute to case conferences, family meetings, quality improvement projects and staff education.
Working with a collaborative and cooperative allied health team, you will be confident to work both independently in a small team of speech pathologists, and within the larger multidisciplinary team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate an ability to manage your time to effectively meet the needs of a busy clinical caseload. You will demonstrate a strong work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others, and a commitment to professional practice.
You will also demonstrate:
- Relevant degree level qualifications in Speech Pathology
- Current Certified Practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience in Speech Pathology assessment and intervention skills
- Two years clinical experience in Speech Pathology assessment and intervention within an acute adult hospital setting (including videofluroscopy and tracheostomy experience)
- Flexibility to work within a 7 day roster
