About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely coding of inpatient episodes using ICD-10-AM and ACHI classifications across a varied and complex casemix (including cardiothoracic, bariatrics, orthopaedic and spinal and colorectal surgery).
About You
To thrive in this role, you should be adaptable, possess exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, and constantly demonstrate courtesy and sensitivity when dealing with patients, the public, and fellow team members.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Clinical Coding qualifications from Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) or equivalent Approved Program, or Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent
- Sound and updated knowledge of ICD-10-AM 12th edition, ACHI and Australian Coding Standards 12th Edition
- Previous auditing experience is highly desirable
- Proficiency with the Solventum Codefinder
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, patient management systems and digitised medical record solutions
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge and understanding of DRG and activity-based funding
- Ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage time to meet deadlines
- A passion for accurate data and continuous learning
Previous coding experience is advantageous however graduates are encouraged to apply.

About Our Hospital
Warringal Private Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment.
