About the Role:

In the role of Patient Administration Officer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver a comprehensive and customer-focused service across all Front Office functions, with a particular emphasis on administrative tasks related admissions.

 

Your duties will encompass but are not restricted to:

  • Patient admissions
  • Processing all booking requests from VMOs or patients and reviewing theatre lists as needed.
  • Thoroughly checking all received paperwork and initiating follow-up actions as necessary, ensuring patients possess the appropriate level of health fund coverage.
  • Proactively reaching out to patients to schedule appointments in a timely manner.
  • Processing admissions accurately in the relevant system, such a Meditech.
  • Ensuring the successful implementation and consistent adherence to standard policies, processes and documentation within the Revenue Cycle.

  • Problem-Solving Aptitude: You display an effective ability to solve problems.

 

Desirable Qualities:

  • Expanded Medical Terminology Knowledge: A deeper understanding is always an advantage.
  • Health Insurance Criteria Awareness: Knowledge of various health insurance criteria is a plus.
  • Meditech System Familiarity: Being acquainted with Meditech would be an advantage.

 

Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $32.83 - $36.59 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
