The Opportunity

The Performance Acceleration team has built a strong reputation across the business for identifying and implementing practical, high-impact, and data-driven performance improvements through close collaboration with Operations Executive Teams. The team combines a good balance of skills and experience from both within and outside of Ramsay Healthcare and we pride ourselves on being dynamic, constructive, and collaborative.

This role will work directly with Ramsay’s Data and Insights team on analytics and AI projects supporting Performance Acceleration. The Data and Insights team builds data products and advanced analytics solutions that improve decision-making and support secure, efficient data analysis across the organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse operational performance to uncover improvement opportunities and provide actionable insights, leveraging diverse data sources.
  • Investigate, manipulate, process, and analyse large, complex data sets becoming a subject matter expert in the data sources and systems that support Performance Accelerations initiatives.
  • Model data for use in operational Business Intelligence (BI) tools and create data visualisations that tell compelling stories.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines in the BI layer.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in designing, building, and ensuring quality of data products to improve outcomes.
  • Over time, become a key contact point for Performance Acceleration data products, working closely with hospital leaders and central teams to design, implement, and embed these into everyday operations
  • Build and nurture strong relationships across the business, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration to amplify success.
  • Contribute to a dynamic and supportive team environment, taking on ad hoc projects where relevant and helping colleagues grow and succeed

 

This opportunity is ideal for a motivated and experienced Data Analyst ready to help address the most pressing operational challenges and opportunities in the business. We are seeking someone who is passionate about using their analytical and problem-solving acumen to support our hospitals to deliver high value healthcare.

 

About You

You are a creative problem-solver with strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. Adaptable and outcome-focused, you thrive in dynamic environments, confidently navigating changing priorities and uncertainty.

You will demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, statistics, computer science, actuarial studies, data science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data analytics and BI development.
  • Proven ability to conduct data investigations, collect, cleanse, and merge data sets.
  • Proficient in developing and producing dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Advanced skills in SQL.
  • Experience with end-to-end development in PowerBI, including data modelling (e.g. DAX, Fabric, and/or PowerQuery).
  • Demonstrated capability in communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, test prototypes, and share results.
  • Experience working across multiple functions or domains

 

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience with healthcare date and/or working in a healthcare organisation
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery and / or Databricks
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. GIT or similar)
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and project management
  • Experience or understanding of UX principles and practices
  • Understanding of data lifecycle including but not limited to data ingestion, Extract-Transform-Load, data storage & joining, management of data projects, and data quality / integrity checks
  • Understanding of predictive and prescriptive analytics, data science, Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) models
