We are looking for an enthusiastic and National Clinical Coding Audit Coordinator to join our National Clinical Coding Audit Team. 
 
About the role
 
The National Clinical Coding Audit Coordinator will utilitse their clinical coding expertise to coordinate audit team response to insurer onsite and remote audits. The audit coodrdinator role will also align audit work program with RHC internal coding audit initiatives resulting in improved coding accuracy.  The coordinator role will provide guidance to a wide range of workgroups relating to coding audit matters and establish positive working relationships with the HIM team, hospital coders and insurer audit teams.
 
Your Skills and Experience
 
Essential
 
• Experience leading coding teams with integrity with a commitment to coding accuracy
• Excellent working knowledge clinical coding using the current ICD-AM/ACHI and ACS and how coding data underpins the DRG classification.
• Certificate IV in Clinical Classification, Associate Diploma or Bachelor of Applied Science, Medical Record Administration or Health Information Management, or equivalent
• Certificate in External Clinical Coding Auditing (desirable), or relevant experience
• Computer literacy with significant experience with patient administration software and Microsoft office suite
• Communication skills aligned with successful articulation of audit results, building trust and fostering collaboration
• Commitment continuous improvement of coding accuracy with a strong sense of accountability
 
Desirable
 
• Audit experience in private hospital 
• Understanding of private hospital billing
• Ability to analyse/report large audit datasets
• Involvement in clinical documentation improvement strategies
