The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for a Combined Quality and Risk and Infection control manager to support Mitcham Private Hospital.
Responsible for supporting and fostering an organisational culture that embraces Quality and strives to continually improve patient and business outcomes in line with the relevant Accreditation Program. The Quality & Risk Manager is the appointed management representative for the Hospital Quality Management System.
The Infection Control Coordinator acts as a resource for all clinical and non-clinical departments in all areas related to the prevention and management of infection control. Coordinates and implements the Infection Prevention Program in line with National program to ensure effective prevention and management of risk associated with infection control.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop, implements, and monitors quality improvement initiatives.
- Identify and address potential risks across the hospital.
- Conduct thorough analyses of hospital processes and outcomes.
- Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Oversee compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate staff education on risk management practices.
- Serve as a resource for resolving quality-related issues.
About you
- Relevant qualifications in a Health discipline with applicable Nursing AHPRA registration
- Minimum of 5 years’ clinical post graduate experiences
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of the Quality Management System in relation to the education, competency, infection control and internal auditing portfolios
- Proven ability to work within a team, and autonomously as required
- Excellent computer literacy, especially with MS Office programs
Desirable Criteria
- Qualification in Infection Control Practices or working towards same
- Nurse Immuniser Certificate/qualifications
