Join our Administration team at North Shore Private Hospital today and enhance your administrative skills!

 

The Role

We have an exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for an experienced Ward Clerk to join us on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday.

At the heart of the department, the Administration staff play a crucial role. As the initial point of contact for patients and families on our Medical Ward, you will set the tone for a welcoming and supportive experience.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the ward
  • Provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other staff and departments
  • Work alongside medical staff, colleagues, patients and visitors to ensure a smooth hospital experience for patients
  • Compilation and management of patient admission papers and clinical notes

 

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and enjoys being part of a busy ward. Your ability to converse and be empathetic while managing a busy flow of admissions and discharges is a key skill needed for this role.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Experience either in a medical administration setting or a patient-facing role.
  • Experience with Patient Management Systems will be highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in and communication with a multidisciplinary team

 

Remuneration

On offer is a base hourly rate of $33.92 + superannuation based on experience and qualifications. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
