The Position:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Midwife Specialist (CMS) to join our team. This advanced practice role is ideal for a registered midwife with a strong clinical background and a passion for leading excellence in midwifery care.
As a CMS, you will provide expert clinical leadership, education, and support within a defined area of midwifery practice. You will play a key role in promoting evidence-based care, enhancing the clinical skills of colleagues, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care for women and families.

The Position:
The opportunity has become available for a CMS position on Private Obstetrics + Gynaecology. This dynamic role will add further experience and support to the current team in place. This is a part time position (0.8) to suit the operating requirements of the unit (to cover Monday to Friday)

- Strong leadership ethics.
- Responsible for supervising the delivery of quality patient care, developing standards of practice and implementing changes to clinical practice.
- Initiating research, education and quality improvement activities and the provision of a consultation service within Maternity.
- Demonstrates commitment to uphold and promote the Ramsay Way core values.
- Extensive Clinical Birth Suite experience.
- Well-developed communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Works well under pressure with a calm approach.
- Collaborates with the midwifery, medical and extended multi-disciplinary teams.
- Adheres and contributes to quality control and the implementation of OHS measures within the unit.
Selection Criteria:
Essential
- Current Registration in the category of Registered Midwife with AHPRA
- A minimum of 4 years post registration experience, including 3 years’ experience in the relevant specialty / area
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership experience in Midwifery and/ or multi- disciplinary team
- Demonstrated knowledge/ experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators and other quality projects.
Desirable
- Completed Preceptorship Program
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent time management skills.

Requirements
