The Opportunity

Join our dynamic National Safety Team as a Regional Rehabilitation and Return to Work Manager for our NSW facilities in a 10-month MAT Leave contract - full-time opportunity based in Sydney or Wollongong Region.

This role will see you identify and facilitate injury management activities to assist injured workers with their rehabilitation, optimising recovery outcomes and reducing the impact of injury on the individuals and workplace.

This position focuses on the safe and early participation in workplace rehabilitation, and coordinates the input of the injured worker, managers, medical professionals, claim case managers, and other relevant stakeholders, to ensure a positive and progressive rehabilitation plan is enacted.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will showcase exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including adept listing and negotiation abilities. Your strong understanding of and experience in applying customer focused injury management, controls assurance, quality management principles and continuous improvement methodology will see you thrive in this role.

This role would be well suited an Allied Health professional, particularly Physiotherapists or Occupational Therapists with experience in occupational rehabilitation.

 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Accreditation or training in workplace injury management or rehabilitation
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in managing and coordinating the rehabilitation and return to work of injured and ill workers
  • Ability to coordinate rehabilitation activities with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of contemporary, evidence based, workplace rehabilitation and injury management practices
  • Experience in managing workers compensation matters

 

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification or degree within a health-related discipline
  • Previous experience within the health care sector
  • Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation legislation, in particular the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act)

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
