Our Maternity unit features 38 beds for antenatal and postnatal care, supported by 7 birthing suites, and 13 special care nursery beds. We also offer Antenatal education classes, a lactation clinic and mother crafting / settling clinic.

Joining our Maternity Ward, you will care for women at various stages of their pregnancy from antenatal admissions to postnatal care.

You will care for women post-delivery and prepare them and their families for the first 6 weeks of postpartum by providing education in all aspects of caring for baby, how to access advice and community support and breastfeeding assistance, all whilst providing women with the choice and support they need.

Your Skills and Experience

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
• Recent experience working in a maternity ward
• Knowledge of current legislation and polices relating to Midwifery practice in the workplace
• Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant post graduate qualifications highly regarded though not essential

Remuneration

A base hourly rate between $38.88 - $54.61 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances (NSW Registered Nurse/Midwife Year 1-8).

Requirements

• Must provide or obtain a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
