About the Opportunity
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Chef to join our Catering Services team on a permanent part-time basis.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare nutritious and appetising meals for patients, staff, doctors, the café, and hospital functions.
- Uphold food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support daily kitchen operations including ordering, stock rotation, and food safety compliance.
- Work collaboratively in a busy team environment, reporting to the Executive Chef.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and cooking of meals (including cold larder and special diets).
- Understanding and meeting patient dietary requirements.
- Ensuring food safety compliance (HACCP) and accurate record keeping.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and equipment.
- Assisting with stock management and ordering.
What You Will Bring
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential).
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and OH&S standards.
- Proven experience in food preparation for individuals and groups (hospital experience highly regarded).
- Ability to manage high-volume workflows with strong organisation skills.
- Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia (sponsorship not available).

Renumeration: On offer is an hourly rate of $31.26 - $33.31 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (GPH Level 3 EBA).
Requirements
Everyone who joins Ramsay:
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
