The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Lymphoedema Therapist to join our team at Mt Wilga Private Hospital. You will perform duties with the support and guidance of your Team Leader, reporting to the Allied Health Manager, to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
Your duties in this role will include:
- Manage a diverse range of patients who require rehabilitation for the management of Lymphoedema
- Provide Complex Lymphoedema Therapy (including massage, bandaging, laser, skin care and garmenting) to Inpatients and Day Patients as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation program
- Participate in developing appropriate discharge plans with the multidisciplinary team
- Work both independently and as part of a team within a supportive environment
Skills and Experience
We seek highly motivated individuals passionate about customer focused care and who thrive working within a Multidisciplinary Team. You will have well developed clinical and communication skills with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following:
- Degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 2 years post graduate experience
- Completed Level 1 Lymphoedema Training
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently manage a case load
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High standard of customer service and a team approach
- Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence based practice
- Flexible, positive approach to work including a willingness to assist other departments when required
Remuneration
On offer is base hourly rate of $38.26 - $59.62 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
