About the Role
Are you a senior nurse ready to take the next step into leadership? Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nurse Unit Manager for our acute Medical Ward 5.
In this pivotal role, you will lead day-to-day clinical operations, champion patient safety and quality care, and support the professional development of your team. You will work closely with the Director of Clinical Services to achieve organisational goals, ensuring high standards of clinical practice are maintained.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage the operational and clinical activities of the ward
- Support, mentor, and develop nursing staff to build a high-performing team
- Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to drive strategic initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate experience in acute medical nursing
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Proven commitment to teamwork and excellent patient care
- Passion for quality improvement and education
Desirable:
- Previous management or leadership experience
