About The Role

In this role, you will become a vital member of our team providing support to the head chef and catering manager through the preparation and serving of high-quality food and meals to patients. In addition, you will:

• Ensuring all meals are presented in appropriate proportions, of the correct temperature and according to the menu request of customers
• Preparing food for functions as required
• Ensuring high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas
• Assisting in the ordering of all food stock, ingredients, supplies and equipment

Your Skills and Experiences

You will act as a positive role model while demonstrating an ability to foster a culture that is positive, friendly, cooperative and forward thinking.

You will also bring:

• Certificate III in commercial cookery or equivalent skills from previous experience
• Previous experience in a hospital kitchen (desirable, although not mandatory)
• Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety
• Commitment to excellence in preparation and supply of food services
• Commitment to excellence in hygiene standards
