About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Theatre Bookings Secretary to play a vital role in coordinating theatre schedules and supporting seamless surgical operations.

In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will be the central link between surgeons’ consulting suites, the theatre team, and hospital administration. You will manage theatre bookings, coordinate procedural lists, and ensure the smooth and efficient running of daily theatre schedules.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately manage and maintain theatre bookings and procedural lists.
  • Coordinate and optimise theatre schedules in collaboration with medical and nursing teams.
  • Liaise professionally with specialist doctors’ rooms and consulting suites.
  • Provide administrative support to theatre and surgical teams.
  • Contribute to delivering a positive and efficient patient experience.

 

About You
You are an organised and confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative, customer-focused environment. You can think on your feet, manage competing priorities, and build strong relationships with both clinical and administrative teams.

You will bring:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills.
  • A professional phone manner and experience handling calls in a busy environment.
  • Previous experience in theatre or hospital bookings (highly regarded).
  • Familiarity with patient information and hospital systems (desirable).
  • A genuine commitment to exceptional customer service.

 

Remuneration: Base hourly rate from $32.44 + superannuation (dependent on experience and qualifications), exclusive of penalties and allowances (Grade 3 Level).

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
