About the Opportunity

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare nutritious and appetising meals for patients, staff, doctors, the café, and hospital functions.
  • Uphold food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Support daily kitchen operations including ordering, stock rotation, and food safety compliance.
  • Work collaboratively in a busy team environment, reporting to the Executive Chef.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and cooking of meals (including cold larder and special diets).
  • Understanding and meeting patient dietary requirements.
  • Ensuring food safety compliance (HACCP) and accurate record keeping.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and equipment.
  • Assisting with stock management and ordering.

 

What You Will Bring

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential).
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and OH&S standards.
  • Proven experience in hotels or cook to order, ala carte food style.
  • Ability to manage high-volume workflows with strong organisation skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia (sponsorship not available).

Requirements

Everyone who joins Ramsay:

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months.
