The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced mental health worker to join our team in this full-time management opportunity. 

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, this role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Provide clinical and management support to the Allied Health staff and the senior management team to ensure the achievement of department and Hospital objectives in line with strategic Hospital plans.
  • Providing high quality assessment and treatment through the delivery of comprehensive therapy programs and services to customers of the Hospital.
  • Planning and facilitation of Group Therapy Programs, which provide support, skills and education in the treatment and management of mental health illnesses.  

  

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a motivated, energetic and flexible team player with a high degree of professionalism.  You will have excellent clinical and communication skills and strive to have a positive impact on the wellbeing of patients.  You will have experience in a sole facilitation group therapy role.  You will also have the following selection criteria:

Essential Criteria:

  • Holds relevant Allied health professional qualification (ie. Psychologist, Counsellor, Social worker, Occupational Therapist, Dietitian etc.) with National Governing body
  • Experience in the provision of mental health interventions and/or group therapy in a clinical setting.
  • Understanding of therapy program development using evidence base frameworks
  • Experience in managing staff and/or as a senior staff member of a team.
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity in thinking.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment or similar qualification

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
