As the Catering Clinical Areas Supervisor, you will be responsible for the direct supervision of ward-based staff involved in all aspects of the provision of food and beverage services to patients, staff, and visitors within the staff cafeteria and clinical/procedural areas of the hospital.
The role is also responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the pantries/departments and all equipment therein is maintained, and for controlling waste
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
Essential
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience working in a Food and Beverage environment at a supervisory level.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
• Accreditation as a Food Safety Supervisor to be maintained as current.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office programs
• Able to work a variety of shifts on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWC) to be maintained as current.
• Able to work both within the Clinical environment, and in kitchen areas
Desirable:
• Knowledge of OH&S Act and regulations, Food Act and regulations, National Standards, and code of practice relevant to catering.Knowledge of Allergen management
• Formal training in HACCP principles
• Degree or Diploma in Catering / Hospitality

Requirements
