The Opportunity

Ramsay Health Care is seeking a National Manager, Property and Leasing to join our Real Estate and Facilities team. This is a newly created role that brings together property and leasing functions across Ramsay’s national hospital portfolio, centralising oversight and strengthening governance. Reporting to the Director of Real Estate and Facilities, you will play a key part in shaping this broader function and driving strategic, commercial, and operational outcomes. Across one of Australia’s largest private healthcare property portfolios, you will oversee leasing arrangements, ensure compliance with organisational objectives, optimise outcomes, and provide expert advice to hospital leadership and executive stakeholders. You will also lead the implementation of a new lease management system, providing critical insights to support long-term portfolio strategy, capital planning, and operational continuity.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will lead Ramsay’s property and leasing activities nationally, providing expert advice and managing critical lease obligations across both lessee and lessor arrangements. Key accountabilities include:

  • Provide national oversight of Ramsay’s lease portfolio, ensuring accurate records and alignment with operational needs.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks for lease management, including documentation, approvals, financial obligations, and compliance.
  • Lead lease negotiations, renewals, variations, and market rent reviews to deliver commercially sound outcomes.
  • Monitor critical lease events and timelines, ensuring proactive engagement with stakeholders.
  • Develop portfolio insights and reporting to support executive decision-making and property strategy.
  • Lead market engagement initiatives, including Expressions of Interest, to maximise value from Ramsay’s property assets.
  • Partner with hospital CEOs, Directors of Finance, legal, facilities, projects, and operational teams to deliver consistent outcomes.
  • Manage external property professionals and advisors, ensuring efficient delivery of mandates in line with governance.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of a national lease management system.

What You’ll Bring

You are a strategic thinker with commercial acumen and operational expertise, confident advising senior leaders and managing complex leasing arrangements. You build strong relationships across teams and stakeholders, delivering practical, high-quality property solutions while balancing cost, risk, and business continuity.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Tertiary qualification in property, business, law, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing commercial or retail property leasing portfolios.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to deliver commercially sound lease outcomes.
  • Solid financial analysis and commercial real estate decision-making capability.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication, with ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to governance, compliance, and risk management.

Benefits

  • An attractive remuneration package, supported by a comprehensive range of benefits that recognise your contribution and promote your wellbeing.
  • Opportunities for leadership and professional development, with clear pathways for career growth across Australia’s largest private healthcare provider.
  • Access to an exclusive rewards program offering premium discounts and privileges with leading national and global brands.
  • The chance to join a purpose-driven organisation at a pivotal time, where you can contribute to meaningful transformation and help shape the future of high-quality healthcare across the Ramsay network.
