We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Nurse to join our 28 bed Orthopaedic Ward, supporting patients undergoing total joint replacements, upper and lower limb procedures and spinal surgery.
In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in ensuring patient comfort, dignity, and safety while contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the ward. Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient manual handling using appropriate equipment and aides.
- Provide support to clinical staff and assist patients on admission to settle in comfortably.
- Assist with emergency responses as required.
- Clean and maintain equipment and patient areas in line with infection control standards.
About You
You thrive in a busy hospital setting, adapt quickly to changing demands, and consistently uphold high standards of service and professionalism.
You will bring:
- Certificate III in Aged Care or Health Services OR currently studying a nursing degree (Year 2 or 3).
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting highly regarded
- Knowledge of infection control, manual handling, and safety procedures.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Remuneration
A base hourly rate ranging from $27.30 - $32.94 + superannuation + applicable penalty rates. Based on experience level and qualifications (QLD Support Services Level 1.1 – 2.4)

Requirements
