The Opportunity
Hollywood Private Hospital has an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical or Plumbing tradesperson to take on the dynamic role of Mechanical / Hydraulics Supervisor.
This opportunity will see you undertake and manage all mechanical and plumbing maintenance activities at the Hospital to ensure all the plant and equipment on site are maintained to an acceptable, safe and operational standard. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this role will coordinate external contracts and provide expert leadership and support to the Maintenance / Engineering team.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, direct, manage and undertake require maintenance duties and tasks for the Hospital, ensuring all forms and records are up to date
- Oversee the work of maintenance contractors and employees to ensure tasks are completed correctly and within designated timeframes
- Ensure timely attendance to maintenance work orders and requests, ensuring that all
assigned tasks are completed and meet defined service levels and priorities
- Plan and implement improvement programs for plant / equipment as required, maintaining cost efficiency and budget deadlines are met.
- Adhere to all health & safety and corporate policy guidelines and procedures
- Participate in after hours on call service, performing after hours maintenance and emergency tasks as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Qualifications as a Mechanical or Plumbing trades person
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing planning maintenance programs and reactive maintenance tasks
- Demonstrated experience in a multidisciplinary setup
- Experience in and ongoing commitment to Quality Improvement principles and understanding of WHS requirements
- Proven experience in external contractor management
- Good mechanical/hydraulic aptitude
Desirable skills and experience:
- Previous experience in leadership and/or hospital maintenance role
- Knowledge and understanding of accreditation/certification process
- Qualifications in Fire Safety Training
- Qualified and experienced in issuing high risk work permits

Requirements
- Provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the last 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
