About the Role
As the Nurse Unit Manager, your main responsibility will be the leadership of our Theatre Department.
In addition to leading a dedicated team of nursing staff, the Nurse Unit Manger will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services within the department to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and experiences. The role requires working with and supporting other managers in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skill set in a hospital setting as a Clinical/Nursing Manager in a similar department.
You will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to inspire, motivate and mentor your team. You will be a leader with a passion for seeing your team members succeed and grow while bringing an eagerness to provide a high level of client care and service.

- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Peri-operative environment acute care hospital setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Any management or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management would be desirable.
- Sound computer skills in MSOffice, including Excel would be advantageous, but not essential
Remuneration
Base Hourly Rates in accordance with Enterprise Agreement + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
