About The Role

We are a busy Cardiology and Cardiothoracic unit within Wollongong Private Hospital. It consists of 24 beds and has high admission and discharge turn over. The role consists of admitting and discharging patients through our systems, organizing patient files, the collection of cardiothoracic data for the national data base working and working closely with all members of the medical and nursing team.

We require the services of a ward clerk for its day to day running.

  • Admitting of patients on to MediTech, collection and collation of data for the cardiothoracic service and the organizing of patient files.
  • Admission and discharge processes to ensure appropriate bed management and utilisation.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the ward
  • Provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other staff and departments.
  • Work alongside medical staff, colleagues, patients and visitors to ensure a smooth hospital experience for patients.
  • Compilation and management of patient admission papers and clinical notes.

Remunerations  

On offer is an hourly salary ranging from $26.68 - $36.40 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

  • Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
