About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be one of two Maintenance Technicians responsible for coordinating and performing all site maintenance. This role combines hands-on maintenance work with external contractor management, ensuring statutory maintenance requirements are met, budgets are adhered to, and high-quality service is delivered at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise and coordinate external maintenance contractors.
- Undertake hands-on maintenance tasks across various trades.
- Ensure compliance with legislative standards, corporate policies, and hospital budgets.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Excellent general building maintenance skills e.g. painting etc
- Experience in commercial facility maintenance (healthcare experience highly desirable).
- Strong communication skills—oral, written, and computer literacy.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and adapt across multiple trade areas.
- Understanding of OH&S requirements and a commitment to quality improvement.
- Current unrestricted driver’s license.
Highly Regarded Skills & Experience
- Trade qualification.
- Previous experience in a hospital maintenance environment.
- Contractor supervision experience
