About the Role
PACU:
Clinical expert in Recovery and accepts responsibility for professional activities that support service delivery and professional development of self and others.
You will oversee patient care during post-anaesthesia recovery, ensuring safety and comfort. Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, facilitating best practices.
Orthopaedics Scrub Scout:
Clinical expert in Orthopaedics and accepts responsibility for professional activities that support service delivery and professional development of self and others.
You will oversee patient care intraoperatively, ensuring safety and comfort. Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, facilitating best practices. Monitoring, auditing and ordering of Orthopaedic equipment, instruments and any requirements to ensure smooth running of Orthopaedic lists. Liase with Orthopaedic surgeons, company Reps and theatre team.
Your Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a perioperative setting
- Relevant post-graduate qualifications essential
Desirable:
- Completion of Advance life Support and Advanced Paediatric Life Support will be an advantage, but training will also be provided.
