The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Administration Clerk in our Emergency Department. As a member of the Emergency Department Administration team, you are customer focused and enjoy working in a busy team environment. The successful applicant will work on a rotating roster on a combination of day, evening and night shifts for which penalty rates apply.

Essential Criteria
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated accuracy and problem-solving skills maintaining attention to detail
- Able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated skills in managing information in a discreet, professional and confidential manner
- Able to work on a rotating roster in a 24/7 department opened 365 days per year
- Willingness to learn new systems
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in hospital patient administration systems, or private practice software
- Understanding of Private Health Insurance / Medicare patient billing
- Relevant health services experience is desirable but not essential

Lake Macquarie Private Hospital is a 187-bed acute Advanced Surgical and Medical Hospital situated on the Pacific Highway at Gateshead, 15 kms south of the Newcastle CBD. Requirements
- Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
