Executive Assistant (Maternity Leave Cover)
Full-time | St Andrew’s Private Hospital, Ipswich
St Andrew’s Private Hospital is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to provide maternity leave cover in a full-time capacity, supporting primarily the Chief Executive Officer, with broader support to the Executive team as required.
This role would suit a highly capable, polished Executive Assistant who brings sound judgement, absolute discretion and a calm, methodical approach to their work. You’ll be someone who anticipates needs, takes ownership, and understands the importance of professionalism in a senior healthcare environment.
About the role
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Executive team, you will provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Executive Office. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities with confidence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing confidential, efficient and proactive executive-level support
- Managing the flow of information to and from the CEO and Executive team
- Preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes and maintaining records
- Drafting, formatting and coordinating executive correspondence and documents
- Maintaining confidential filing systems and records
- Coordinating meetings, functions and executive activities
- Liaising effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Supporting special projects and ad-hoc executive requirements as needed

- Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives in a complex environment
- A highly organised and structured approach, with excellent attention to detail

- Confidence working independently and exercising sound judgement
- A professional, composed manner and a strong sense of confidentiality
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Experience in healthcare or hospital settings will be highly regarded
