About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an ‘all-rounder’ to deliver Speech Pathology services to a mixed caseload. The successful applicant will work with individuals with a range of disabilities including post-stroke, Parkinson's disease, dementia, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury, developmental disabilities, neurodivergent conditions and other conditions.

This position also provides exposure to opportunities within our Inpatient and Day Program setting for applicants with interest in gaining further experience in these areas.

This challenging role offers diverse responsibilities including the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of developmental and acquired adult communication and swallowing disorders as able.

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Relevant degree level qualifications in Speech Pathology
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in the disability sector
  • Eligibility for membership to Speech Pathology Australia
  • Demonstrated experience working successfully in a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently manage a varied case load
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and quality principles
  • NDIS Worker's Check or willingness to obtain

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working with adults with acquired neurological conditions
  • Driver’s Licence

 

About Our Hospital

Mt Wilga Private Hospital is a 112 bed specialist rehabilitation facility, with a busy day therapy unit, and outpatients department situated in Hornsby, a peaceful area of Sydney’s Upper North Shore. Requirements
